Brothers Lennart and Felix Eicke founded the band Leoniden Cabaret together with Djamin Izadi and JP Neumann while still at school. Singer Jakob Amr joined them in 2015. Leoniden - named after an annual meteor storm - released their debut album "Leoniden" after the two EPs "Invert India" and "Two Peace Signs". Despite the fact that the band produced the record under their own, newly founded label and marketed it entirely on their own, they achieved greater attention for the first time. In addition, extraordinary live performances at various festivals and open airs increased Leoniden's popularity. A short time later, the five boys from Kiel secured a contract with a well-known label. Leoniden deservedly won the "New Music Award" in 2017. In 2018, the Kiel-based band presented their second album "Again". With their 2021 studio album "Complex Happenings Reduced to a Simple Design", Leoniden recently climbed to number 1 in the charts.
